Eric Clapton's Fender Bassman 5F6-A

THIS is the infamous Fender Bassman 5F6-A. Known for being the circuit from which Marshall was birthed and this particular example has been toured with Clapton himself during the 90s, it even has the stage settings marked out from the 1998 / 1999 Pilgrim Tour... if you've always wanted that Clapton tone and you've got the guitar, THIS is your holy grail. This amplifier is the epitome of loud blues rock tones and pairs perfectly with a Stratocaster or Les Paul type guitar. We had the amplifier for so little time that by the point I was ready to offer the seller some cash - somebody else had just called in and bought it! The speakers from what we can tell are original 4x10 blue back speakers and features Groove tube power valves and a Mullard GZ34 rectifier tube. Unfortunately, though we had suspected otherwise, the amplifier was not modded by Mr. Dumble as we're told all of Eric Clapton's amps are. This may be because it was being used by his second guitarist Alan Darby as the tape across the top of the amp alludes to. The amplifier has been captured at FULL VOLUME (I went deaf for about 30 minutes after we'd finished this one) in the live room at Blue Bell Hill Studios in Kent, UK using a classic pairing of Shure SM57 and Royer R121 into the gorgeous 1987 SSL 6000G console there used to mix and record countless hit records and summed at a perfect phase alignment for the best representation of each tone we found.
