Description

Here are captures of my Fender Super Reverb’s Normal Channel. A nice surprise was that TONE3000 was able to train these captures to the new A2 architecture. Props to Steve for pushing NAM forward and for TONE3000 to retrain such a large existing library. See the Linked Tones for my captures of the Vibrato Channel. The Normal Channel sounds similar to the Vibrato Channel with the Mids about 8. The Normal Channel is limited to the following controls: (V)volume (T)reble (B)ass The overall gain of the Normal Channel is perhaps less than the Vibrato channel. Volumes 4-6: Clean to breakup Volume 7: Light crunch Volumes 8-10: Classic rock crunch Some possible starting points: Clean: BFSR Nrm V-4 T-4 B-4 SRL 6dB.nam Breakup: BFSR Nrm V-7 T-6 B-3 SRL.nam Crunch: BFSR Nrm V-8 T-8 B-2 SRL.nam Maximum Gain: BFSR Nrm V-10 T-10 B-2 SRL.nam I've provided enough captures for you to simulate turning up and down the Treble and Bass in the most useful ranges. I turn NAM’s Output Volume up 12dB for captures of the amp’s Volume set at 4. The loudness of the captures with the Volume at 5 or 6 are much more to my expectations, with the loss of clean headroom. The captures were made immediately afterI finished the Vibrato Channel. These captures are an extension of those sessions, and the Linked Tones make up a complete interpretation of the amp from my end. Signal Chain: RME UCX II Line Out – United Studio Technology Replay Box at 11.5dBu - Fender Super Reverb - Weber Z-Matcher - Suhr Reactive Load - RME UCX II Instrument In at 11.7dBu Input/output calibration metadata for 11.5dBu send/11.7dBu return provided. These captures were originally trained with the Standard input file at 1000 Epochs. 6/4/26 - I just uploaded the A1 captures of this amp for anyone who would rather want those captures. As previously mentioned, TONE3000 retrained these to the new A2 Architecture. Impulses of the amp's P10R speakers are also in the Linked Tones. Let me know if there’s any interest in hearing the amp with the bright cap on. I included two captures with the Bright Cap on, but it’s not my favorite sound. I am open to trying additional settings that you might find useful.
