Description

A HIWATT-style tone is considered one of several "First Dial Amp” choices for fuzz and brutal gain pedals. A fairly balanced EQ is presented, with a breakup character that differs from the Fender-style tones I often use. The overall sound is perceived as neutral with a bright edge. An objective platform for evaluating pedal response is provided, as the tone remains clear and not overly colored. This is the device I've been using so far for small gigs and the sound is still relevant, works great! I've made a demo video of this amp and head combination paired with the MODEL-T Fuzz Pedal and several others. Check out the video below. ⚠️ Attention ⚠️ : Please consider calibrating the NAM loader input around 12 dB Watch your gain staging — keep the signal warm and controlled, not overly loud. Let me know how it feels when you try it. —HM—
