The Analog.Man King of Tone is a dual-channel overdrive pedal designed to preserve the natural tone of the guitar and amplifier while providing transparent overdrive and boost. The unit functions essentially as two independent overdrive pedals in a single enclosure, typically configured as a Red channel and a Yellow channel. Each channel features its own independent Drive, Volume, and Tone controls, along with a dedicated LED indicator. Operational ModesThe pedal utilizes a four-position internal DIP switch system that allows the user to configure each channel individually into one of three distinct modes: - Normal Overdrive (OD) Mode: This is the standard setting, utilizing soft clipping. It provides slightly less gain than a traditional Tube Screamer but is capable of outputting approximately four times the volume. - Clean Mode (BOOST): This mode removes the clipping diodes (no clipping) and operates with less compression than the OD mode. It functions as a clean boost that can achieve twice the volume of the standard OD mode, while the Drive knob remains active to add subtle gain. Circuit Characteristics and Additional FeaturesDynamics: The circuit is engineered to respond highly to playing dynamics. It cleans up seamlessly when rolling back the guitar's volume knob or playing with a lighter attack, avoiding the underlying fuzziness present in many standard overdrive pedals. Internal Trimpots: The circuit board includes two internal "Treble Boost" trimpots.
