Kustom Defender 5H by Zimmhauser

This is a capture of a Kustom Defender 5H tube head. It's a class A amp with a 12AT7 preamp tube for more headroom and an EL84 power tube. It's a barebones pedal platform head - it only has a volume knob. The captures were done with the volume set at 5 (anything beyond 5 it gets very mushy). There is an un-boosted capture for a cleaner tone (roll back guitar volume to clean it up more). The second capture is boosted with a Tube Screamer (settings in file name). The third capture is boosted with a Metal Zone (settings in file name). The captures have virtually no tone shaping to allow users to experiment with their pedals and impulse responses (IRs). The captures pair very well with the Zimmhauser Baby Fenster IRs, particularly those with the ribbon mics.
