LPD EIGHTY7

The Eighty7 is an all-analog overdrive pedal from LPD Pedals, built in Mesa, Arizona. It’s designed to capture the sound of modified British stacks, the amps LA recording studios used in the 1980s. It has plenty of range, from edge-of-breakup and clean preamp tones to the roar of a hot-rod Plexi, and one reviewer called it the best “Marshall in a box” they’d tried. A toggle switch on the pedal selects between two circuit voicings, Green and Red, which gives it much of its versatility. **Controls** Gain: Sets the amount of overdrive. Level: Sets the output volume. Bass, Mid and Treble: A full three-band tone stack for shaping the sound. Presence: Adds or cuts sparkle to help the pedal cut through the mix or sit better with your amp. Green/Red toggle: Green: Percussive and dynamic, with enough body to cut through a dense mix. Red: More saturated and compressed, suited to singing leads and tight palm-muted chugging. I recommend watching Mike Hermans' and Michael Nielsen's YouTube videos (see below).
