Description

Marshall 6100 30th Anniversary. Finally got around to touch this one up since the schematic files were last modified a year ago prior. Tonally underrated amp. ...wait, why is this the second largest tone pack amongst my uploads??? So much for "never again." ・High and Low Compensation switches for the input. Basically a low pass on the input signal and high pass on one of the tube stages for each channel. ・Clean Channel. Some of the most Fender-ish cleans that you're ever going to get from a Marshall amp. 。Mid Shift - mid scoop. 。Bright - adds brightness. ・Crunch Channel. A lot more versatile than it lets on, from nice edge of breakup sounds to higher gain for rhythm playing. 。Three varying stages of gain structure from A to C. ・Lead Channel. Very unique design-wise, 'cause why are there 3 cathode follower stages? 。Contour - changes the voicing on the mid frequencies 。Gain Boost - additional input gain from the 2nd tube stage. ・Low Volume Compensation - re-voices the amp for lower volumes. ・Damping - power amp damping. 。High Damping mode - tighter response. 。Low Damping mode - looser response. The Presence control only works in this mode 。Auto - assigns the high setting to the Clean channel and low damping to the Crunch/Lead channels. Not captured since all poweramp settings are provided anyway. ・Preamp and poweramp sections are also provided separately. [LEGEND] ・FULL - Preamp + poweramp ・PRE - Preamp section ・PWR - Poweramp section ・CLN - Clean channel ・CR[A/B/C] - Crunch channel [mode A/B/C] ・LD - Lead channel ・HC - High Compensation switch ・LC - Low Compensation switch ・MS - Mid Shift ・BR - Bright ・CTR - Contour ・GB - Gain Boost ・LVC - Low Volume Compensation ・DMP[HI/LO] - Damping [High/Low] [NOTES] ・All the models are captured with 8x oversampling and 64 iterations for the highest quality possible. ・All controls are flat so you can hear the amp as it is with neutral settings. I may add additional captures with "ideal" settings, but that's not a priority for now.. ・Should you wish to push more gain into the captures, use a separate gain utility/plugin and a clipper/waveshaper/limiter with a ceiling of -0.1dB or less before your NAM loader to prevent nuking the models if the input signal gets too hot. === LiveSPICE: https://livespice.org/ Original LiveSPICE .schx schematic file: https://github.com/MARKTHERENCE/LiveSPICE-MK-Circuits

Wow! This is a lot to digest. How long did it take to do all this?

These sound superb. I'm playing through them now - I've never heard of this amp, but like you said the cleans are amazing and the crunch is too. Thank you so much for your contribution and introducing me to an amazing new amp!

8/2/2026 UPDATE: Took me a while to notice that all 60 captures of the Crunch channel aren't consistent in behavior as the Lead channels due to an oversight in the tube modeling implementation for the cathode follower. This is now fixed.
