Description

Some sort of random captures of my 1989 JCM800 - not really chosen with a goal or theme, just some things I thought would be fun in the moment. Settings are not all the same in all of these captures - and for once I didn't focus on documenting them. I did also make separate pre/power amp captures (this amp has the metropolous fx loop) and the corresponding full capture for comparison! 1989 JCM800 Suhr RL 12.2 dBu Zeroloss Metropolous fx loop Various boosts, gain settings, etc Master generally at 4 or 6 ESR in metadata (0.002 to 0.019) Reference/src files at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Z6gfi4d0HThcj-4lQCw42ZlPFQajgfgI

Hey @northernfox , thank you so much for sharing this! I've been looking all around for a capture of preamp only section of any JCM800 for Tonex or Quad Cortex and found nothing. So thank you again for sharing this! My question is wether or not this JCM800 2203 2203 preamp B2.5 M5 T5 G8 is supposed to sound really boomy? I've tried playing into both realy 100W head power amp section and also through studion monitors - it sounds like if the resonance knob would have been turned all the way to the maximum. Is this just a nature of this amp/capture, or am I doing something wrong? Just to be clear: this is a capture of FX Send of JCM800, correct?
