MARSHALL JMP-1 OD2 (FULL GAIN PACK)

Marshall JMP-1 OD2 Channel – Preamp Capture Epochs Aim: 400 A2 | Reamp Box: Countryman 85 Calibration sent at -6dB. All EQ set to noon. Just last week I had the pleasure of this preamp unit entering the studio space again, and thought id get some more progressive captures this time. The Marshall JMP-1 OD2 channel is captured across the full gain range of 1–20, with all EQ controls set to noon. Compared to OD1, OD2 has a slightly more scooped character with increased saturation and a more aggressive, heavier sound. The Marshall JMP-1 played a key role in shaping Stephen Carpenter’s guitar tone during the Deftones’ White Pony era. Paired with a Marshall valve power amp, it helped deliver the album’s distinctive blend of aggressive saturation, tight low-end punch and cutting, slightly scooped mids.
