Captured via 1073 DI input using different Vin levels for tonal variation. Vin represents the input voltage applied to the DI input of the preamp. Available profiles: - Vin 0.65 V (≈ −1.5 dBu) → mild input, clean tone - Vin 1.0 V (≈ +2.2 dBu) → moderate drive - Vin 1.5 V (≈ +5.7 dBu) → noticeable saturation - Vin 2.0 V (≈ +8.2 dBu) → strong coloration BA283 Preamp Custom (Lundahl LL1538XL / Carnhill VTB1148) This model captures the tone of a fully hand-built analog preamp based on the legendary BA283 circuit — the heart of classic 70s British consoles. The Lundahl LL1538XL input transformer delivers pristine detail and airy top end, while the Carnhill VTB1148 output transformer adds signature warmth, harmonic depth, and gentle compression reminiscent of vintage Neve modules.
