Description

This is my take on Channel 1 of my Mesa Boogie DC-5 combo amp. These are AMP captures. This pack contains: - 5 clean tones - 5 with the pull boost engaged - 5 boosted - 3 additional at different gain levels This pack is best used using the arrows in NAM. It starts with the 5 different cleans and so on. Take note on the level matching between the cleans and the gained tones. I spent extra time level matching and the order of the captures to make sure it is a good experience browsing through the pack. Just start with .01 and go through them. This amp came out in the 90s and was the first all tube amp I ever purchased. It was so hard to dial in as a newbie, but I recently reacquired and so much fun to play with 20 years later. It’s an interesting amp because it has the Mark series character with a loose low end like a Rectifier. Boosts really go a long way in this pack. Don’t be afraid to boost the boosted tones. Try it with “Boosted 3” I monitored these with York Audio 2x12 Mesa IR and some 4x12 ML IRs as well. Try smaller cabs with some of these. EQ is your best friend to really carve out the good parts of this amp. Using a multiband on the low mids is really helpful to keep things in check.
