Description

This pack captures the Origin Effects DCX Bass, with a focus on its drive characteristics across EQ and OD modes. Special thanks to a friend who generously lent me this pedal for capturing. • 16 captures total (00–15) Capture 00 is the preset from the pedal's owner — their go-to tone. 01–05 are five stages of drive staging in EQ mode with Voice set to Flat and LF/HF at noon. 06–10 are five stages of drive staging in OD mode with the same settings. 11–15 are tones based on the manufacturer's manual presets. • Tone Shaping / Usage Tips Select a capture close to your desired drive level using the drive staging (01–10), then fine-tune the drive texture and response using the input level. EQ mode (01–05) offers a cleaner, more transparent character, while OD mode (06–10) provides a more aggressive, saturated tone. Using a pre-EQ allows you to approximate the LF/HF controls, and a post-EQ can approximate the Voice filter. • Estimated EQ Behavior Based on measurements and listening tests — not official specs, but close enough to be useful. Signal chain: LF/HF → Drive → Voice LF: low shelf around 100–150Hz, ±10dB HF: cut is a high shelf around 7kHz down to -18dB, boost is a bell around 4kHz up to +8dB Voice Med: high shelf around 6.5kHz, -12dB Voice Dark: high shelf around 5kHz, -18dB Q around 1.3–1.6 (width around 0.4–0.6 in Anagram's parametric EQ) • File Name Info Format example: DCXBass-11 eq 6 F 10-8 (Direct to Console) - Mode: EQ - Drive: 6 (1 o'clock) - Voice: F (Flat) / M (Med) / D (Dark) - LF: 10 (5 o'clock) - HF: 8 (3 o'clock) - Preset name in parentheses follows the manufacturer's naming Hope you enjoy using it.
