Description

Three drive pedals from my pedal board. A Devi Ever Hyperion, a Mosky Silver Horsey, and a modified ProCo Rat 2. The ProCo Rat 2 had the LM308 chip added, and a linear 1k potentiometer on the side that replaces the 47ohm resistor in the feedback loop of the pedal's circuit. This in effect dials in the level of a "ruetz" mod. The "ruetz" mod reduces the pedal's overall gain, boosts lower frequencies, and creates a smoother, darker, more open, and less compressed overdrive sound. In all these captures the mod is set to about half way. That is about like adding a 500 ohm resistor in the feedback loop instead of a 47 ohm resistor which provides a good compromise between the stock sound and a heavier overdrive. There is also a capture of the Rat being driven by the fuzz or overdrive.
