This premium DI (Direct Input) tone model captures the uncompromising raw power, roaring British mid-range, and classic high-headroom dynamic response of the legendary Petersburg JP-100 tube amplifier. Unlike standard DI models trained using hardware load boxes (which rely on static reactive curves), these captures were created using a custom-built, completely transparent DI box connected directly to the amplifier's speaker output. The signal was tapped while the Petersburg JP-100 was running into a real physical guitar cabinet via a thru-connection. This setup allows the amplifier's power section and heavy-duty transformers to interact natively with the moving mass and changing impedance of actual speakers. The result is unmatched dynamic realism, authentic power-amp sag, and an organic playing feel that hardware load boxes simply cannot replicate. To provide maximum flexibility during mixing and tracking, the pack maps out several distinct sweet spots of this boutique tube amp. All tone stack settings were meticulously dialed in, with only the Gain control sweeping from tone model to tone model. How to Use 1. Load the Petersburg JP-100 DI tone model into the Amp / NAM slot inside the TONE3000 Plugin or any compatible standard NAM loader. 2. Place a Cabinet NAM model (such as our Custom Bogner Cube DV-77 pack) or an IR loader immediately after the amp model. Set up two parallel cabinet slots to blend different microphone characters (e.g., mixing the aggressive SM57 bite with the boutique OC818 sweet spot). 3. CRITICAL PHASE NOTE: Since these cabinet models are captured from real multi-distance studio positions and are NOT pre-aligned, you MUST click the "Align" button inside the TONE3000 plugin interface. This will instantly phase-align both cabinet models perfectly, preventing any comb-filtering or low-end loss and unlocking a massive, unified studio tone.
