The 5E3 is one of the most cloned circuits in guitar history and this one is one of them. Handwired from a kit several years ago, this 5E3 started stock, spent years as a mod platform, then got converted back to stock circuit with one keeper mod: a 3-way switchable negative feedback switch. The 5E3 is famous for breaking up early and musically with rich tube distortion at manageable volumes rather than needing full power to get there. NFB Switch Positions: - Normal: highest gain, earliest breakup, classic tweed tone - No Cathode Bypass Cap: moderate gain, great with boost/distortion pedals - Added NFB + No Cathode Bypass Cap: tightest lows, cleanest, most headroom What's included: Two A2 NAM captures from the full pack, amp-only DI.
