A first-party capture of "Vintage Germanium 57 EQ Pre" — a classic passive program EQ paired with a germanium-transistor preamp, the pairing prized for the thick, saturated low end it lends to anything run through it. This capture is my "Bass Guitar (fattening)" setting: dialed to add weight and harmonic density to bass, filling out the low end and giving it presence in a mix. It works on more than bass, too — try it on kick, synth bass, or anywhere you want a source to sound bigger and rounder.
