Description

IRs made from the cabinet and speaker of my 1964 Fender Princeton loaded with a Jensen P10Q 8ohm speaker. Five different close mics were used to capture the speaker; R121, SM57, SM94, M160, and C414, mic'd in the following positions: -Cap=center of the cap -Cap Edge=edge of the cap where it meets the cone -Cone=midpoint of the cone halfway between cap and cone edge -Cone Edge=edge of the cone right next to the baffle Two distant mics were also used; C414, and M160, both mic'd at the center of the cabinet at distances of 12" and 24". There is also an SM57 rear mic at 0", 12", and 24". Mics were powered by a Vintech 473 mic pre, passed through HCL Varis Tube Vari-Mu compressor for color, and into RME Fireface converters. Captured using 10 second sine wave sweep @24bit/48kHz May 2025 Nathaniel@DahmanMusic.com www.DahmanMusic.com
