Description

Refine the sound of your Acoustic PIEZO PICKUP. I used Japanese Takamine P2DC with Palathetic Piezo Pickup. I managed to get it to sound significantly more natural and articulated. This capture bakes in a complete signal chain to tame harsh transients, smooth out the tone, and pull out subtle playing details. Signal Chain: High Pass Filter (80 Hz) → Noise Gate (-44 Db) → Graphic Equalizer that silences "Piezo Quack" Frequencies by 10 Db → Compressor → Compressor + Expander (Yamaha Compander-S) → Multi-Band Compressor. IMPORTANT: Add Acoustic IR, as this NAM A2 captures just focuses on dynamics and tone. To get more natural-sounding acoustic resonance, run your preferred Acoustic Guitar IR right after this capture. FYI: Because dynamic processors (compressors, expanders, gates) rely on threshold levels, your guitar's output signal dictates how this model behaves: 1. Max Out Your Guitar Volume. 2. Adjust Modeller Input Gain: - If the sound feels too compressed, lower your modeller's "Instrument Input Gain". - If the sound cuts off too quickly (gate) or feels weak, raise your modeller's "Instrument Input Gain". 3. Volume Note:** Turning down your guitar’s volume will simply lower the overall volume of the compressed sound rather than opening up the dynamic response.
