Description

We're pleased to offer official Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) captures in partnership with TONE3000. The Blackstar Artisan 100 is a point-to-point, hand-wired, all-valve 100-watt head powered by four EL34 power tubes and a quartet of ECC83 preamp valves, paired here with the matching Artisan 412A cabinet loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Built on seam-welded 1.6mm steel chassis with 18mm finger-jointed birch ply cabinets, the Artisan 100 is constructed without compromise. The Artisan 100 has earned its place on stages ranging from arena rock to punk and post-hardcore. Uli Jon Roth of the Scorpions runs it alongside a vintage Marshall Super Lead Tremolo, praising its clearer low end and modern reliability while retaining the harmonic complexity of a classic Plexi. Richie Sambora has used the Artisan 100 as part of his live rig. Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü and Sugar has relied on it for his signature wall of distorted sound. Miku Kobato of Band-Maid and Jona Weinhofen of I Killed the Prom Queen have both turned to the Artisan 100 for its combination of high-wattage headroom and raw, dynamic crunch. What sets the Artisan 100 apart is its Voice control, a four-position rotary that traces the evolution of classic amplifier design from early American circuits through to the British designs of the '60s and '70s. Each position simultaneously switches the preamp voicing and power amp damping, moving from Bassman-style sparkle and sag through Twin-like headroom and into Plexi-era bark, growl, and compression. It's not a modeler. It's four distinct amplifier topologies built into a single hand-wired circuit. The dual-channel, four-input configuration allows players to blend channels for even more tonal variation, a technique borrowed from the earliest days of British rock. Through the 4x12 loaded with Vintage 30s, the Artisan 100 delivers a huge, three-dimensional sound: tight low end, aggressive midrange push, and top-end clarity that cuts without harshness. It cleans up beautifully with the guitar volume rolled back and rewards players who work their dynamics. At full tilt, the EL34 power stage delivers the punchy, harmonically rich saturation that has defined British rock tone for decades.
