Blackstar TV-10 BH with TV-112 B Cab

The Blackstar TV-10 BH is a 10-watt, single-ended Class A valve head built around an ECC83 preamp valve and an EL34 power valve, driving a 12-inch Celestion V-Type speaker. The EL34 is the power tube most closely associated with the sound of classic British amplification. Fat mids, warm low-end, and aggressive crunch that defined the sound of British rock from the 1960s forward. Controls are deliberately simple: Gain, Tone, Master, and Reverb, with a footswitchable Boost for pushing the front end into overdrive. The custom-voiced digital reverb is designed to emulate the warmth and depth of vintage British spring reverb units. A cabinet-emulated line output taken after the power stage captures the full character of the EL34 being driven into saturation, making it equally useful for direct recording and silent practice. The single-ended Class A topology means the power stage clips symmetrically, producing natural compression and harmonic saturation that responds directly to pick dynamics and volume knob adjustments. The TV-10 B covers the clean-to-crunch spectrum — warm, rounded cleans that bloom into growling, mid-pushed British crunch as you dig in. It rewards players who use their hands and their guitar's controls to shape their sound rather than relying on heavy processing. The TV-112 B cabinet features a Celestion V-Type helping to achieve those high headroom, characteristically warm British tones.
