Carvin Legacy 3. Steve Vai signature amp. Rare occasion where I like a darker-voiced amp because this one sounds more balanced across the board. The cleans are pristine while also being warm on the lower frequencies, and the distortion tones are very smooth no matter how much gain you have. EQ tonestacks are interesting, too. Looks like a Baxandall-type mixed with a Fender-style mid control. ・Clean Channel. VERY clean, difficult to push into edge of breakup territory. Excellent as a pedal platform. ・Drive Channels. There are two of them but they are practically identical, just that the other one has a Gain switch for (obviously) more gain. Quite hairy, as per Steve Vai's own words. ・Preamp and poweramp sections are also provided separately.
