Crate GX-15: Smashing Pumpkins Machina tone v1

Amp Head Capture

Description

Attempt at using the settings for the amp used on the Machina album by Smashing Pumpkins. Notes: -Amp/tone does not have a cabinet, as it was ran out of the Headphones output directly to the soundboard. Do not use a cabinet with this if you want accuracy. -volume and gain dimed out, bass @ 10 o clock, mids all the way off, highs dimed out. -this comes with 1 capture of the settings completely raw, and another with post-eq to match the guitar tone via EQ matching the stems from ripped guitar hero stems of "The Everlasting Gaze". -Guitar type may heavily effect the tone's accuracy. I had a Les Paul in C standard and it's ok, but my Variax using a Les Paul model in C standard yeilded better results. I might look into EQ matching The Everlasting Gaze further, but for now this is v1. Sounds pretty close when A/Bing my Crate GX-15. I think there's a lot of post-processing in The Everlasting Gaze's tone, or any tone using the GX-15R (Same amp but with a spring reverb on the end), but the raw NAM file will let you get the sound and allow you to EQ things yourself.
