DIGITECH BAD MONKEY

OK what can I say about the Digitech Bad Monkey...? Before the JHS hype, this thing was a bargain bucket banger, but nothing more. A relic of the early 2000s gear train. It also happened to be the first overdrive pedal I ever bought. Since its invigorated second wind, people have seen just how great this thing is - not for the money, but how great it is, full stop. This is a tubescreamer-type pedal with an added bass control, so you can really fill out the low end, normally lost with this type of circuit. What's unique about the Bad Monkey is the feel, the compression. It's so comfy to play - like wearing your favourite old pair of jeans; you just feel right at home, and everything is chill. I have my favourite tone settings, so I kept to that and took a gain capture for every notch on the dial (11, as it happens). This is the direct AMP output only; I didn't capture the MIXER output, which has a rudimentary cab sim built in. LMK if you'd like me to capture this! Enjoy ✌️
