Description

EVH 5150 III 100S Stealth. As per @agooshmoo2's request. This is officially the highest gain available amongst my capture packs, borderline insanity with the amount of gain on tap from this amp. Thought this would be a cakewalk to brush aside, but apparently this was not straightforward to simulate. It took a few days to experiment with a handful of variables; which tube modeling implementations worked best for the ideal input responses (@ripper's captures of this amp came in clutch as reference for this), voltage power supply for the preamp tubes, and input voltages for the Green and Blue channels because they had large discrepancies from the Red channel for the first several passes of capturing them. ・Channel One (Green) - Supposedly "clean" (no, it's not.) You'd have to dial back the gain *way* back and/or your guitar's volume knob if you even want clean sounds out of this channel. Really good for crunch to mid-gain sounds, though. ・Channel Two (Blue) - You're going to live on this channel, let's be real. Great sounding high gain channel, very tight for rhythm work with just the right amount of bite on the higher frequencies. ・Channel Three (Red) - More gain, if you're just as insane as Eddie. (Seven gain stages... how much gain did he need? 😭) Has a liquid texture going on that makes it perfect for leads, but it's also viable as a high gain rhythm sound if you dial the gain down and add something in front to tighten up the low end flubbiness. ・Preamp and poweramp sections are also provided separately. [LEGEND] ・FULL - Preamp + poweramp ・PRE - Preamp section ・PWR - Poweramp section ・CH1 - Green channel ・CH2 - Blue channel ・CH3 - Red channel [NOTES] ・All the models are captured with 8x oversampling and 64 iterations for the highest quality possible. ・All controls are flat so you can hear the amp as it is with neutral settings.
