Description

Here's captures made of a late 80s Fender Dual Showman 4x10 cab, that has on open back, but the opening slits are on the sides vertically, instead of in the center horizontally. It really fills out a room nicely. It has two of the original Eminence 10" speakers, and two really rare Pulsonic Fane 10" speakers from the 60s (model 1006) The speakers sound vastly different It was miced with vintage Sennheiser MD441 and MD421 microphones from a distance of about 5 inches. Captures were taken with mics pointed at the centers of the speakers. You can find the rest by signing up to my Patreon. The first week is free! A 120w solid-state Orange amps power amp was used to power the signal sweeps at a considerable volume, while being careful not to overload the signal or blow the speakers. One run was made a bit quieter and the other a little louder, to capture some of the speaker compression.
