Frenzel DP25

Captures of my little Frenzel Deluxe Plus 25. 2 6l6s but running at 25w into a set of small transformers...its a bit of its own thing, but its probably best described as a cross between a 5e3 and a Tweed Bassman (more 5e3). Does a smallish Tweed amp thing pretty well - higher the master is, the more fuzzy it gets. Goes from warm clean tones to saturated 5e3 style fuzzy tones. C1 is a more Fender 5e3/Bassman kind of thing. C2 claims to be like a Plexi but I wouldn't really describe it as such. C2 is more of a tighter, brighter, vaguely Marshallesque voice but gain wise not really similar to a JMP/Plexi unless the preamp is pushed and the master isn't set too high. It's lower gain than C1 actually. C1 has a lot of bass content so remember that when you pair it with IRs. Open back IRs work well for it. I used a 1x12 open back G12-65 Creamback IR when testing these tones. C2 is a lot leaner in bass and low mids so its also a lot less picky with IRs.
