Friedman Motor City Drive – NOS RFT ECC83 Capture of a discontinued Friedman Motor City Drive high-voltage tube overdrive, fitted with a NOS RFT ECC83 / 12AX7 tube from former East German production. Two versions are included: Motor City Drive – Solo The Motor City Drive captured directly, without an additional preamp. Motor City Drive + Tube Preamp The same Motor City Drive settings, followed by a DIY TubeTown Pepper Shredder tube preamp. The two NAMs also work very well together in a dual-NAM setup. Blend the Motor City Drive Solo and Motor City Drive + Tube Preamp models to taste for a fuller, more complex tone. The concept is somewhat similar to blending the Normal and High Treble channels of a Plexi-style amp. No cabinet or IR is included in the captures. Use your preferred cabinet IR after the NAM.
