Description

A capture of the preamp section of the Gallien Krueger 250ML, using two different settings - a mid-heavier setting very akin to Iron Maidens' "Somewhere In Time", boosted with a TS808, as well as a setting boosted by the BOSS SD-1, more scooped, more like Deaths' "Scream Bloody Gore". Please note, that for the Maiden sound, you NEED to use a very intricate complex Stereo Chorus Effects and Reverb - this unfortunately cannot get captured by NAM properly. For the Death tone, Chuck Schuldiner pushed the gain even further by trimming an internal pot, but I can't do that - however, the capture in my opinion has TONS of gain. All captures done with +18 dBu calibration to my measurements (datasheet of audient iD44 states +10dBu, so try everything within that range according to taste).

Hi!) What its mean "All captures done with +18 dBu calibration to my measurements (datasheet of audient iD44 states +10dBu, so try everything within that range according to tase)."? If I have Audient EVO 4 with +10dBu, what I should set int the calibrate input value? And also should I set gain level knob to zero on soundcard? I mean, all model what I have download and use, sounds not enough gain for thrash metal, its more about crunch, even EVH5150 and another hi gain amps, but my guitar have active pickups EMG retro hot active 70, so I think I'am doing something wrong with calibration or gain knob on Audient
