Description

Custom hand made all tube high gain amp built into an ENGL Screamer amp shell. The transformers are also kept. 5 stage tight high gain channel with a adjustable low gain low-end blend in. The signal is split after the first gain stage, runs through an additional gain stage and merges back after the fourth gain stage. The unbypassed cathode fifth gain stage blends the 2 signals together with small additional gain. 3 12ax7 so far. One more for the effects loop and another for the phase inverter. So 5 preamp tubes. The power section has 2 6l6 tubes. Front Controls: - BOOM potmeter: gain adjustment for the low-end additional stage - Shape switch: choose an aggressive high pass filter or mid shelf filter for the tight branch. - GAIN potmeter: gain adjustment for the tight high gain branch - Bright switch: choose the amount of extra mids after the 2nd stage on the tight branch - Scoop switch: choose low mids or high mids for scoop after the 3rd stage on the tight branch -Balance potmeter: the amount of low-eng branch blend into the tight branch. Full CCW is max - Feel switch: choose between modern sound for less midrange or punchy vintage sound for the tone section - Bass, Middle, Trebble potmeters: controls for the modified Marshall style tone stack - Volume potmeter: controls the signal strengths between the effects loop and the phase inverter - Presence potmeter: high-end control in the global NFB loop - PI bias switch: choose between warm, neutral or cold bias for the PI. - NFB switch: the strength of the global NFB loop signal - Depth potmeter: low-end control in the global NFB loop Back controls: - Noise gate potmeter: the effectiveness of the noise cancelling diodes after the 4th gain stage - Noise gate bypass switch: bypass the noise control diodes - PPIMV potmeter: Signal strength control after the PI capture signal path: - Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 3rd gen. output - Radial Pro RMP - günTERror XVI - Two Notes Torpedo CaptorX - Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 3rd gen. input Makes and Models günTERror 2026-09-24
