GOSH Problem Solver 50w

This capture pack is a sample of the GOSH Problem Solver 50W, captured at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, Florida. For this set, we captured each of the Problem Solver’s four Age settings with the Mid Boost engaged. The Age control changes the fundamental voicing and response of the amplifier, with each position drawing inspiration from a different era of classic guitar amplification: Age '23 — The most modern voice of the four, with a tighter response and a more immediate, focused feel. DEPTH 4 | PRESENCE 4 | BASS 6 | MIDDLE 8 | TREBLE 8 | MASTER 6 | GAIN 4 The Capture All four captures were made with the Mid Boost ON, giving each Age setting additional midrange presence while still allowing the differences between the four voicings to come through. As with our other GOSH captures, we measured the amplifier's input impedance to ensure proper input loading and an accurate transfer. We then performed extensive listening and comparison tests using a load box while referencing the sound of the actual amplifier through a mic'd cabinet. Our reference setup was a Marshall-style cabinet loaded with a Celestion Greenback and an SM57. The mic'd cabinet served as our real-world reference as we refined the capture setup to match the response, dynamics, and character of the physical amplifier as closely as possible. Four Ages.
