Description

Criminally overlooked to the point that I bought mine for 15€, the Guyatone Zip 100 is a solid-state amp from the 1970s that absolutely deserves more recognition. Made in Korea, it sits right alongside my beloved Pearl SS-102 and delivers surprisingly authentic Fender-style clarity. No speaker swap needed here. For a vintage solid-state amp, the Zip 100 holds its own, proving once again that the best SS amps of that era can sound just as sweet as their tube counterparts, just with a hint of extra buzz for charm. Its voicing is unmistakably Fender-like, and that is a very good thing. This capture set focuses on cleans only, with three tonal positions: Dark, Normal, and Bright. EQ settings are as follows: Dark — Treble 2, Middle 3, Bass 7 Normal — Treble 5, Middle 5, Bass 5 Bright — Treble 8, Middle 5, Bass 3 Reverb is off for all captures to keep the response consistent and faithful. These captures were created using a Matribox II as the DI interface. They join my personal archive and are offered strictly for non commercial use.

love the idea of this amp and the coron but neither seem to load properly in NAM proper and sounds glitchy in 3rd party loaders
