Description

Heritage Amplification: The "Victory" 22W 1x12 Combo Designed by Paul Cochrane Overview: This is a rare, boutique-grade all-tube amplifier from the Heritage era of the former Kalamazoo Gibson plant. Designed by the legendary Paul Cochrane (of Tim/Timmy overdrive fame), this "Victory" model is a boutique hybrid that defies easy categorization. It is a sonic crossroads, blending the tactile response and tone stack of a JTM45 with the punchy, articulate phase inverter of a Vox AC50, all powered by a pair of 6V6 tubes. The result is a highly dynamic, touch-sensitive amplifier that retains the "woody" harmonic complexity of a vintage Marshall while offering the chime and percussive clarity of a high-end British classic. Key Sonic Characteristics: - Dynamic Response: Exceptionally "amp-like" feel. The circuit is designed to transition seamlessly from glassy, high-headroom cleans to a harmonically rich, singing "edge-of-breakup" drive based purely on pick attack and guitar volume manipulation. -Tonal Versatility: It avoids the "flubbiness" common in vintage-style amps. The design keeps the low-end tight and defined, even when pushed, making it an incredible platform for both single-coil clarity and humbucker-driven crunch. - The "Focus" Control: Many of these units feature a custom "Focus" (or bass-cut) control. This acts as a pre-overdrive high-pass filter, allowing users to dial out sub-frequencies before they hit the preamp stages. This makes the amp exceptionally tight and responsive for rhythm playing and prevents "mud" when used with pedals. Ideal For: - Pedal Platforms: Its transparent, musical EQ curve makes it an ideal canvas for boost, overdrive, and fuzz pedals. - Studio Recording: Its 22-watt 6V6 configuration hits the "sweet spot" for studio volumes, offering power-tube compression without needing to be deafening. - Genre Versatility: From Blues and Americana to classic Rock and Indie, this amp provides the quintessential "vibe" that boutique seekers crave.

I'll reupload the Ribbon track asap. Had an inconsistent tone error. Enjoy this nice boutiqe amp. Halfway between a JTM45 and a Vox. Designed by Paul Cochrane. I'll upload more tonal variations too. Watch this space. Follow me for updates. I have loads more guitar, and bass, amps coming. Marshalls, Fenders, Vox, Darkglass, Sansamp, etc.
