Description

Version 2: To simulate the Variac used by EVH to get more amp saturation (less headroom) by lowering the incoming voltage, I added the profiles with a slight clean boost (Boss GE-7). ************************************ If brown sound profiles have already been offered on Tone3000, I haven't always found the thick, full and rich side of Eddie's sound which can be heard in the songs of Van Halen's first album released at the end of the 70s. At the same time, this sound keeps enough clarity to allow him to go from rhythmic to solo just with his plexi amp. With this pack, I wanted to try to find the characteristics of this brown sound using my JTM50 replica. You'll find several volume settings because not all songs on the album are played with the same level of gain. (Vintage) Celestion G12M Greenback IRs to be favored with these profiles. NAM files with calibration metadata included. Technical information: Interface: Motu M2 Reamp Box: Radial Pro-RMP Reamp level: 12 dBu Load Box: DIY Tube-Town reactive load Captures normalized to: -3 dB Epochs per capture: 1000 ESR on Standard mode: 0.003602 to 0.004797 If you like my work, you can supporting me via paypal. https://paypal.me/kosmicaudio

Way too scooped and muddy to be a realistic Van Halen I sound. His sound was downright shrill at times on I.
