Captured from a Laney LX12 12W solid-state combo with its original 6" speaker in damaged condition, resulting in a naturally worn, lo-fi character. The amp was set with the Crunch channel engaged at low gain, sitting right on the edge between clean and breakup. Settings: Crunch: 1.5 / 10 Bass: 3 / 10 Mid: 5 / 10 Treble: 5 / 10 Volume: 4 / 10 This capture delivers a gritty, vintage practice-amp texture with a slightly compressed attack and a distinctive speaker rasp caused by the worn cone. It works especially well for garage rock, indie, lo-fi recordings, demo tracks, and character overdubs where pristine tones are not the goal.
