Description

My Marshall DSL40c. Incredibly versatile amp, so great in the studio. I swapped out the original speaker for a V30...again for it's versatility. I have a Creamback and a Greenback that I'd like to capture. I'll see how successfully I managed to capture this one. I've tried to capture a midrange overdriven tone. I used the Lead 1 channel and backed the gain off to 4. I've just replaced the grill cloth. It now has a vos paper and cotton weave which is a lot more 'closed' and does have a tiny...really tiny effect on the tone making it a bit darker. That's not a bad thing for me.

Nice.. I'll be uploading a similar tone from my DSL40CR soon (same channel, same gain). So interesting to hear these.. Interesting to hear about the sound change with the new grill cloth. Looks nice! Agreed, it's such a versatile amp.

This really has worked rather well. Bit of room reverb..roll the Vol back a touch.
