Description

Marshall Studio Vintage SV20H amp-only NAM capture, based on the classic Plexi / 1959SLP-style circuit. Captured with the channels jumpered, using a Palmer River Trave reamp box into the SV20H, then from the amp into a Two Notes Torpedo Captor and back into a Behringer UMC204HD. No cab or IR is baked into the model, so you can pair it with your preferred IR. I created several settings covering edge-of-breakup through classic rock crunch and more pushed Plexi tones, with some Presence variations for darker/brighter options. The goal was to retain the SV20’s characteristic dynamic response: relatively clean when played softly, but compressing and breaking up quickly when you dig in or use hotter humbuckers. Models were trained in A2 Full quality on TONE3000, with ESR around 0.004 on the tested captures. This was my first full NAM capture project, so feedback is very welcome. I’m also sharing the profiles for free alongside a YouTube video showing the complete capture process and direct comparisons against the real amp.
