Maxon OD-820 Pedal

Its an overdrive pedal with great boost and a little bit of distortion but not a lot. Because of its character, this pedal can be used with a lot of different amps. The pedal can be used in a metal context in front of an amp that already has a lot of gain. The pedal is good with low gain amps as well. Apparently Andy Sneap liked this pedal, I speculate that it is because it provides great boost without excessive distortion so it allows the underlying amp tone to shine through , alternatively it could be because the pedal works really well with chugs ( for definition see OLA , will it chug ).
