Description

This is a lead channel capture set of a Mesa Boogie Mark IV, but compared to the lead pack, these rhythm captures have less gain and bass. All credit goes to my buddy Kody who recorded all the output clips, I merely trained them. Kody was also kind enough to provide a manual that documents each capture setting graphically. You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/x3sii36w9damo4keykymb/Mark-IV-Manual-Final.pdf?rlkey=bdwmokhy4etbggko119npy86f&st=tsuh398v&dl=0 Additional capture sets of the Mark IV will follow sometime in 2025. This set includes standard ("S" suffix) and complex ("C" suffix) captures. Complex captures require more CPU power, but, if you can run them, they're closer to the real tone of the amp than standard captures, though not by a lot. All captures were trained with 1300 epochs, which provides a great level of accuracy (very low ESR numbers). Kody used the following recording chain for the Mark IV capture packs: Focusrite 18i20 3rd Gen Line Out -> Lehle P-Split III Reamp Box -> Mesa Boogie Mark IV -> Suhr Reactive Load IR -> Focusrite 18i20 3rd Gen Line In Signal Chain Calibration: +9.0 dBu This capture set contains the calibration meta data already and it can be used with the buil-in calibration system of the newest NAM player to automatically set the correct input gain level for your audio interface.

This is by far the best pack! Amazing amp, great captures and a well done pack, with calibration data and manual. That's how you do a pack! What about the other anticipated captures? I really would like to see a new pack, maybe with A2, a commercial pack if you have to, with an extended range of captures, more in pentode mode/simulclass/harmonics, the real IV mode, with captures from the amp’s manual settings but especially with a collection of the settings from its most prestigious users, like Petrucci and Mark Morton. I think you and your buddy Kody are able to deliver the definitive Mesa Mark IV capture pack, not forgetting you can almost replicate the Mark IIC+ with some tweaks. I’d really appreciate it!"
