Description

In my search for the brown sound, I've tried to use my Mojave Scorpion in conjunction with a Variac at various settings. My amp was biased for 240VAC througout this whole capture process and only the voltage was gradually lowered. There are mainyl 3 settings: Dimed EQ with Volume 1 on 10, Dimed EQ with Volume 1 on 7 and Dimed EQ with Volume 1 on 7 with an 8dB clean boost in front (denoted with a "B" near the end of the capture name). There are also "alt" or alternative versions trained on the same output clip. You should start with the 180V captures, anything below gets more brittle and anything above leads to a fuller albeit less "browned out" tone. This set features standard and hyper accuracy (complex). Captures denoted with an "S" at the end of their name are "Standard" captures and those denoted with a "C" are "Complex" captures that require signficantly more CPU power to run. Very high quality 1200 epochs standard captures with very low ESR numbers. Made with the V3 Test Signal and the 0.9.0 trainer. The complex captures are closer to the real amp, in case you can't run them, use the standard captures. Signal Chain: UA Apollo X8 -> Lehle P-Split III Reamp Box -> Mojave Scorpion-> Suhr Reactive Load Signal Chain Calibration: +12.4 dBu
