Granophyre – 3 Capture Pack A crushing modern high-gain capture pack built around the Omega Ampworks Granophyre, paired with a Bogner 4x12 cabinet and captured with a Royer R-121 ribbon microphone. The R-121 brings out the thick low mids, smooth upper mids, and full-bodied character of the cabinet while retaining the Granophyre’s aggressive attack and articulation. Three different signal chains provide everything from the raw amplifier to tight, boosted death-metal tones. Capture 1 – Amp Only Pure Granophyre with no boost. Thick, aggressive and dynamic with plenty of natural low-end weight and open midrange. Great as a foundation for adding your own boost or simply using the amp’s natural high-gain character. Capture 2 – Nephilim Boost Tight Granophyre pushed with the Nephilim Boost – Tight voicing. Low-end buildup is reduced before the amp while attack, bite and definition are increased. Fast palm mutes stay controlled and individual notes remain clear under heavy gain. Designed for modern death metal, technical riffs and tight low-tuned rhythm work. Capture 3 – Nephilim Boost Beefy Granophyre pushed with the Nephilim Boost – Beefy voicing. Retains considerably more body and low-mid weight while still tightening the amplifier. Bigger, thicker and more authoritative than the Tight capture—ideal for crushing rhythm guitars, slower riffs and massive low-tuned chugs.
