ONE LA 500 (LA2A Clone) Compressor / IGS Audio

This is the 500 version of the legendary Teletronix ’68 LA2A Rev. 2c opto compressor by IGS Audio. Because of its "magic dust" reputation and its ability to provide unobtrusive compression as well as thickening up any signal, it is a studio staple for bass, (acoustic) guitars & vocals. The signal path packs ECC83 / ECC82 tubes, in / out transformers as well as T4b opto cell according to its vintage specs. In order to get a decent amount of gain reduction, the sweep signal was boosted by a very clean SSL xlogic (line) preamp, if necessary. Captures: (through RME UFX2) * GR=0db: no compression, only "thickened up" input signal * GR=10db: up to 10db of gain reduction from the sweep signal * GR=20db: up to 20db of gain reduction from the sweep signal * GR=Max: up to maxed out gain reduction from the sweep signal
