Peavey 6505

In my opinion, this is the best setup for this amplifier. It gives the best saturation and dynamics, there is not too much drive to muddy it and yet it has everything needed for heavy riffs. That's why it's my starting position when I record hardcore, metalcore and similar genres. The chain I used for this capture is Clarett - Reamp box - Peavey 6505 - Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 - Behringer 1273 Preamp - Clarett. Settings on the amplifier is High gain input - Red Ch. - Pre Gain 3 - Bass 4 - MId 2 - Tre 7 - Post Gain 3 - Res 6.5 - Pres 8. I usually add a Maxon OD808 type drive pedal before the amp to get an even tighter sound before entering the amp.
