Description

This is my return to profiling guitar gear, after a looong break... The amp modeled here is my Fender Princeton Recording Amp. I previously had a whole set of this amp uploaded here, back in the days when this place was called Tonehunt. Now the amp is done from scratch, using the speaker as the load, an approach I think is superior to using a loadbox. There are only four profiles in this little teaser pack. The rest, you can have – still for free – at my ko-fi page, but with a pay-what-you-want option: ko-fi.com/rakshaaudio The four profiles released here are dubbed clean, EoB, crunch and drive. If you want breakup in between that, simply use the input volume in the plugin. Treble and bass are set at 5 for all profiles, if you want something else, simply use the EQ in the plugin. The full set contains 20 profiles with the same gain settings, but different tone settings - and a manual. These are all DI profiles. I see that full rig profiles have become very popular, due to the shortcomings of IRs. I wholeheartedly agree that IRs are far from ideal. But I will still stick with making DI sets of amps. So instead of IRs I suggests using the Quantum Speakers from Neutron Audio – which are NAM profiles of speakers, that reproduce all the dynamic and other nonlinear behavior of speakers that IRs lack. For that reason I have used nothing but Quantum Speakers for the last two years. So I still go with DI profiles of amps, as I think full rig profiles might be nice, but I don't like that the decisions regarding mics and placement is already done for me. In contrast: With the Quantum Speaker you can make these desicions for yourself and blend any mics available in those sets. So this marks my return to profiling. Later offerings will be for sale at my ko-fi page, modestly priced when they are done. But there will be freebies now and then, too. All offerings will have teaser packs here at T3K. Oh, almost forgot: The reamp level is 12 dBu. Enjoy!

Cool! Welcome back! Hope to see some of your other amps in A2 format as well.
