this is a very underrated amp... hi gain has Rectifier genes, overdrive has Dumble genes, and the cleans are also sweet. Tremonti and PRS worked 5 years to get it right, for perfectionist Mark Tremonti

Complete noob here - if I'm understanding this correctly, if I want a full rig (no IR needed) I should select the SM57 versions labelled [AMP]?

Great captures bro! So clear and many tonal options. I like combining a bright 'Lead' with a darker one, makes it really full and unique sounding.
