Valeton Asphalt - The Sound You Didn't Know You Needed!

This tiny, super affordable solid state guitar amp is 20 watts of really cool tone! Who knew this was the amp sound you didn't know you needed to try out. Chimey clean, great breakup and throaty & bright gain, this amp covers a lot of fun sounds. Kinda Voxy, kinda Marshally, lots of fun to muck around with, go buy the real thing if you like this coz they're cheap! Mic'd up with an e906 or SM57 on my Laney 2x12 with HH Acoustics 12-80-G8 speakers, as well as the cabinet-simulated line output built into the amp (no mic for those settings obviously). Some tips: They're pretty bright captures, and it's worth cranking the input gain to get some great sounds! Also the line-out sounds are cabinet-simulated, but a good IR would help with those sounds for sure. EQ settings are as pictured, with the gain at 8 o'clock for clean, 1 o'clock for breakup/light drive, and 4 o'clock for the highest gain settings. Enjoy!
