Description

The SE-70 is a half-rack multi-effects processor from Boss, introduced in 1993 as the successor to the SE-50. It offers 45 algorithms and about 35 effects, covering distortion, modulation, delay and reverb, along with unusual extras like a vocoder, ring modulator, sampler and guitar synth. Algorithms combine several effects at once, and the reverbs in particular are known for long decay times. This profile contains impulse responses of the SE-70’s reverb factory presets with their respective numbers, so you can reproduce its sound in an IR loader or convolution reverb. It has a smooth, slightly vintage digital character of the kind associated with Boss and Roland units of the era. Please notice: for now all IRs here are mono. Stereo versions may be added at some point, but there’s no schedule and no guarantee. Moreover, all captures are 100% wet so adjust the mix to your liking. I recommend watching Leon Todd's video about this unit on YouTube (see below).
