Amp Head Capture

Description

I have been playing around with the values on the second stage of the amp (which would be the bright channel on the Marshall it's based on) to see if I could get a more solid low/ low mid response without losing the hairy unpleasantness of the amp and also not resorting to the usual tricks in the negative feedback circuit ("resonance" or "thump" control) which I find can add some phasey weirdness to the tone. People seem to like these, though, so I might just be plain wrong about this. I enjoyed playing this iteration more than the others, so here you (or, rather, I) go. There's one capture with full hair, one with the fat cap on V3 engaged (_fat) and one with a little less hair (_mild). The captures were done, as usual, with the Creampie RLIAB, and should work with most greenback loaded 412 IR's, but I recommend and prefer Outmoded's EVH 412 cab.
