Description

Koch Durango single ended tube combo, 1x EL34 power stage. 12 watt setting, preamp boost switched off, tone control set halfway, power amp volume on full, preamp turned up until the edge of breakup. Captured with an sm57, slightly off-center from the middle of the speaker, about three finger-widths away from the grill cloth. See pic. Please adjust the gain in your NAM player to make loudly played notes overdrive, but keep the quieter ones clean, if you want the intended gain level. EDIT: I updated the pack with two extra profiles: they were made with the amp in the exact same settings, but instead of the mic I used the Durango's direct Rec Out. This output (visible on the pic) takes a signal from the speaker output, so the effect of the power amp is included. You can choose to either use or disable the amp's analog speaker sim. I profiled both settings. So please remember to use an IR with the NoCab profile. EDIT2: I added another (experimental) profile, to fatten up the SM57 capture. I made it by loading the original profile into Two Notes Genome, tweaking out some harshness with pre and post EQ and rendering the result (max oversampling!) as a new sweep response. along the way I had to increase the gain, so be prepared to readjust that too if you switch between profiles in this pack.
