Laney Ironheart IRT120 CH2 Rhythm boosted

LANEY IRONHEART IRT120H - CHANNEL 2 (RHYTHM), PRE-BOOST ON =================================================== WHAT IT IS ---------- A Neural Amp Modeler capture of the Laney IronHeart IRT120H channel 2 in its Rhythm voicing, with the pre-boost all the way up - a tight, dense, chunky high-gain rhythm tone. It is a capture of a circuit model, not a mic'd amp. The whole CH2 preamp was rebuilt in LTspice from the factory service schematic - the pre-boost op-amp, all five 12AX7 stages, the Marshall-style tone stack and the output buffer - and NAM was trained on the TONE3000 standard sweep run through it. MODELS ------ * Head only (no cab): no cab, no power amp. Load your own 4x12 / V30 IR after it. * Head + cab (cab baked in, plug-in-and-go), same amp and settings: - ML Sound Lab "Color Calibrated" (free IR) - Will Putney album IR "Thousand Mile Stare" - V30 4x12 SM57 (close-mic'd) HOW IT WAS BUILT ---------------- - Every preamp stage transcribed from the schematic: same parts, same supply voltages. - DC bias of all five tube stages checked against the voltages printed on the schematic (within a few percent). - Each stage's output was rendered and auditioned on its own to check the gain structure. - Voiced against a real IRT120 capture through the same DI and the same cab IR: within about 1-3 dB per band (low bass under ~90 Hz a little light), with matching crest and saturation. SETTINGS CAPTURED (panel numbers 0-10) --------------------------------------- CH2 Rhythm voicing (pull switches in) - PRE-BOOST maxed - GAIN 7.5 - BASS 6.5 - MID 5.5 - TREBLE 6.5 - VOLUME 5 Not in the capture: reverb, effects loop, the Lead-voicing pull switches, and the power amp. RECOMMENDED USE --------------- - Run it raw (loudness normalize OFF) and feed a normally tracked DI at its natural level. It tracks pick dynamics and your guitar's volume knob. - The pre-boost is already on; a light boost in front still stacks. - Too bright? A gentle high-shelf cut around 3 kHz, or a darker IR.
