Maxon OD808 Overdrive Salem Witch (Calibrated)

Purchased new sometime in 2013, my go to setting for boosting a mid-high gain amp. Overdrive knob set to ~.5, Balance set to MAX, and tone knob set to about 10 o'clock. The "Salem Witch" setting, popularized in the metal scene by bands like Kill Switch Engage, helped tighten up the tone of an already distorted amp. Calibrated capture using an Arturia AudioFuse 8Pre Interface and a Radial HP Studio Reamper box. Pedal is powered with a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 Extender. This is my second upload of this setting, now that I learned how to calibrate my captures. Reamp send Level: 5.15(dBu) Reamp return Level: 10.45(dBu) ***How To Utilize Calibrated Captures*** You will need to know the maximum instrument input level on your interface. This can normally be found in interfaces user manual (the Scarlett solo for example, has a maximum instrument input level of +12dBu). On the NAM Gateway plugin, go to the settings cogwheel and toggle on “Calibrate Input.” In the box above, type your interfaces maximum instrument input level (ex. +12dBu for Scarlett Solo). Now just plug your guitar into your instrument input on your interface, making sure you’ve selected instrument level and not line level if there’s a selectable button. Lastly, set your input level gain knob to 0, and you’re all set for utilizing this hyper accurate calibrated capture.
